Attendee Convention Rules and Policies

Badges
Upon check-in, each attendee will receive a badge, which must be worn at all times while on site. Engraved brick badges are not valid for event entry. Your official badge serves as your access pass to BrickCentric, including all seminars and workshops—please keep it secure, as lost badges cannot be replaced. If you find a lost badge or badge pieces, kindly return them to the registration desk.

Attendance
Any exceptions to the below will be made at the discretion of BricksCentric, LLC.

BrickCentric is not liable for theft, loss and/or damage of personal property.

BrickCentric is a convention intended for adults. Attendees ages 10 to 17 are allowed to register and attend provided they are accompanied and supervised by an adult, who also registers and attends.

Children
Minors (any fan younger than age 18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring their children follow event rules and maintain respectful behavior. If a child becomes disruptive, please escort them outside of the event area. As this is an adult-oriented event, some conversations may not be suitable for children—it is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to remove them from inappropriate situations. Additionally, minors must not remain in the event hall between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Conduct

  • Treat others with respect! Theft, cheating, or violating any rule or law will result in removal from the convention without a refund.

  • Let's leave our politics at the door. This event celebrates our community’s diversity, creativity, talent and love of building systems. Please respect our fellow attendees and leave any political signs/logos, hats/T-shirts and other branded attire at home.  We are one family, one community.  Failure to do so will result in refusal to enter or removal from the convention without a refund.

  • Disorderly behavior--such as roughhousing, running, or using skateboards/scooters--is prohibited and grounds for removal without a refund.

  • Threatening behavior—verbal as well as physical violence, stalking, unwanted touching, or inappropriate gestures--will lead to immediate removal without a refund.

  • BrickCentric reserves the right to ban individuals from future events for any duration deemed appropriate if they are removed for any reason.

  • Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. BrickCentric and/or venue staff may take any action deemed appropriate, including expulsion without refund, as well as potential involvement of law enforcement.

Prohibited Items
Flammable liquids, gases, weapons, or compressed gas tanks of any kind are not permitted in the event area.

Food and Beverage
Food and beverages are allowed per the policies of the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel. Eating in the event area is discouraged; however, if you do so, you must dispose of trash properly. Hot plates and toaster ovens are not allowed in hotel rooms—please consult hotel policies for further details. Remember to wash your hands after eating, especially before handling bricks.

Handling Bricks
Respect others and their creations. Models may be fragile, and not all builders welcome others handling their work. Always ask the creator for permission before touching a model or MOC.

MOCs
Our event is produced to celebrate our builder community’s diversity, talent, creativity and love of building systems. We want to share these incredible creations with the public. However, BrickCentric reserves the right to determine the suitability of any MOC to be displayed. For example, we might determine a MOC does not represent the spirit of the event. (In other words, leave your politics—whatever they may be—at home.)
